Sponsor UK innovation

Help connect Britain's innovation economy.

Britain does not lack ideas, research or industrial capability. It lacks a clear way to connect them. UKIZ is building that shared national record and the communities around eleven missions. We are looking for organisations that want to help make it useful, open and national.

Independent. Privately proposed. UKIZ is not a government programme or designation.

Why support UKIZ

Keep the public record free to read.

Every organisation, place, capability, role, funding record and event on UKIZ is free to read without an account. Maintaining it means continual sourcing, checking and correcting. Support goes into that work first.

Improve what the record can answer.

Coverage is uneven by sector and by region. Support lets UKIZ deepen the areas that are currently thin and record what is missing rather than quietly leaving a gap.

Make opportunities easier to find.

Roles, funding routes, facilities and programmes are scattered across hundreds of separate sites. Bringing them into one searchable record shortens the distance between somebody looking and something real.

Bring people together across sectors and places.

A mission is a community before it is anything physical. Support helps UKIZ convene the people working on the same problem in different organisations and different parts of the country.

Widen who takes part.

Students, early career researchers, first time founders and organisations outside the established clusters are the hardest to reach and the most affected by a poor route in. Support can be directed at participation specifically.

Ways to partner

Partnership can include funding, expertise, facilities, technology, data, distribution or convening support. What a partnership involves is shaped together, in writing, before anything is announced. Not every contribution carries logo placement or commercial rights.

  • Founding partner

Support the national network and the shared public infrastructure underneath it, rather than one sector or one region.

  • Mission partner

Support one of the eleven mission communities, its record, its evidence and the people building in it.

  • Place partner

Support participation and connection in a mapped regional ecosystem, so the route in is as clear there as anywhere else.

  • Capability partner

Contribute expertise or access in areas such as capital, manufacturing, compute, talent, professional services or international market access.

  • Participation partner

Help students, early career talent, founders or underrepresented communities take part.

  • Convening partner

Help UKIZ bring relevant people together through future roundtables, workshops or Innovation Camps when those activities are confirmed.

Who this is for

Corporates and technology companies

Organisations that already work across several sectors and places, and want the national picture of capability to be clearer than it is today.

Professional services firms

Legal, accountancy, IP and advisory firms whose expertise is often the missing step for a founder or a research team.

Banks and investors

Institutions that want earlier sight of what is being built in Britain and a better route to the parts of the country they see least.

Manufacturers

Businesses with capability that others cannot currently find, anywhere in the United Kingdom, not only nearby.

Universities and research institutes

Institutions with facilities, testbeds and expertise that industry struggles to locate and approach.

Infrastructure, property and development partners

Organisations whose sites, space and connectivity shape where innovation can practically happen.

International trade organisations

Bodies helping organisations reach Britain, or helping British organisations reach markets elsewhere.

Foundations and philanthropic funders

Funders concerned with participation, skills, regional opportunity and open public knowledge.

What a responsible partnership looks like

  • UKIZ maintains editorial independence. Sponsorship never buys a ranking, an evidence status, a recommendation or a place in a result.
  • Public records stay source led. A record changes because the evidence changes, never because an organisation supports UKIZ.
  • Sponsorship never gives access to personal member data. Members are never sold, listed or introduced without their agreement.
  • Benefits and recognition are agreed in writing, and only promised where UKIZ can actually deliver them.
  • Where a partner has contributed to an area of the record, that relationship is disclosed on the page it affects.

Events in the next month

UKIZ has built a growing public record of organisations, places, capabilities, jobs, funding and events across eleven proposed Innovation Zones. The counts below are read live from that record. The mission communities are being built now. Roundtables, Innovation Camps, Hubs and any physical Zone remain proposed and are not scheduled. We will describe them as confirmed only once they are.

Questions

What can an organisation sponsor?
Support can go to the national network and its shared public record, to one of the eleven mission communities, to participation and connection in a mapped regional ecosystem, to a capability area such as capital, manufacturing, compute, talent, professional services or international market access, to widening participation, or to convening people when those activities are confirmed. What a partnership covers is agreed together rather than chosen from a fixed package.
Is UKIZ a government programme?
No. UKIZ is an independent, privately proposed national initiative. It is not a government programme, designation or endorsement, and the physical Zones are conceptual. Where UKIZ refers to public policy or public data, the source is shown.
Can sponsorship influence UKIZ rankings or records?
No. Sponsorship never buys a ranking, an evidence status, a recommendation or a place in a result, and it never gives access to personal member data. Records change when the evidence changes. Where a partner has supported an area of the record, that relationship is disclosed on the page it affects.
Do you offer national, mission or regional partnerships?
Yes. A partnership can be national, focused on one of the eleven missions, or focused on a mapped regional ecosystem. Several organisations can support the same mission or place without exclusivity, unless something different is agreed in writing.
Can support be non financial?
Yes. Expertise, facilities, technology, data, distribution, international access and convening support are all useful, and in some areas more useful than money. Non financial partnerships are agreed in the same written way as funded ones.
How are sponsorship benefits agreed?
In writing, before anything is announced. UKIZ only commits to recognition and benefits it can actually deliver, and does not promise audience reach, guaranteed exposure or outcomes it cannot evidence. Not every contribution carries logo placement or commercial rights.
Can international organisations partner with UKIZ?
Yes. UKIZ works on British innovation capability, and international organisations, investors and trade bodies often have a direct interest in it. The same independence and written agreement rules apply.
