A personal message from Mark

Building UKIZ has been one of the most exciting and eye-opening things I have ever done.

As I have tried to map the organisations, people, facilities, research and technologies shaping our future, I have been genuinely astonished by what is happening up and down this country.

In laboratories, universities, factories, startups and communities across the United Kingdom, extraordinary people are working on ideas that could transform industries, improve lives and help solve some of the greatest challenges facing our planet.

Much of it receives too little attention. Too much of it remains disconnected. And far too many of us have no idea just how much talent and capability already exists on our doorstep.

The more I have discovered, the prouder I have become: proud to be British, proud of the people doing this work and proud to play even a small part in bringing it together. Most of all, I am excited about what could come next.

I have invested my own time and money into UKIZ because I believe our country needs it. I have made a start on mapping what Britain has, but I cannot finish it alone. No single person or organisation could.

Now I need your help.
