   Engage

   Use the record as a free research input.

   Every cluster, organisation, research asset and capital source is published with its source. Officials, analysts and advisers can read, cite and reuse it without asking permission and without contacting anyone.

   Share

   Tell UKIZ what the public record misses.

   Departments, combined authorities and agencies hold operational knowledge that never reaches a public dataset: what a programme actually delivered, where capacity really sits, which constraint operators actually report. Shared material can be attributed or anonymous.

3. 03

   Challenge

   Correct a record, or contradict a claim.

   Every entry carries its source, the period it describes and when it was last checked. A correction from someone who runs the programme in question is worth more than another round of desk research, and every correction is logged in the public change record.

   • Evidence that a record is out of date or wrong
   • Evidence that a gap UKIZ has flagged is already filled
   • Factual corrections to any mapped entry

4. 04

   Participate

   Take part without committing the department to anything.

   Participation is deliberately low-commitment: reviewing a draft, being listed as an interested party, or pointing UKIZ at a better source. It creates no obligation, no funding expectation and no implied endorsement.

5. 05

   Remove a blocker

   Remove a specific piece of friction only government can remove.

   This is the only category that asks government to act, and it is deliberately narrow: a named barrier, a named owner, a named decision. Planning, procurement, grid connection, regulatory sandboxes, visa routes and data access are where one decision changes what the record shows is possible.

Government can enable, convene and remove blockers. The record does not ask it to run companies, pick winners or replace the people building.

UKIZ is not a replacement for existing programmes. The record notes where a mission already overlaps an existing designation, so the question becomes what is still missing rather than what should be started from scratch.
