Collaborative research and development

Find partners for collaborative research and developmentDeadlines and status shown as published.

Collaborative calls, partner search routes, consortium building events, research organisations and facilities, each recorded from a published source with its own date.

Consortium building is slow because trust is slow. UKIZ can shorten the search, not the relationship.

16 current records from 9 organisations across 8 places. Most recent check 2026-08-25.

What this page is

A record here means an organisation, call or facility exists and published something UKIZ can point at. It is not evidence that an organisation wants to join your consortium, that it has capacity in the timescale or that you are eligible for a call.

UKIZ does not form legal consortia, assess eligibility, write bids, choose partners or guarantee introductions.

  • UKIZ does not form consortia or act as a party to any agreement.
  • UKIZ does not assess eligibility or write bids.
  • No organisation is represented as willing to collaborate unless it has said so publicly.
  • Call documents are linked in full at source, never copied or summarised as guidance.

What the evidence supports

  • Collaborative funding calls2
  • Universities and research organisations2

A record joins a group only where its own published wording names that activity.

How to use it

  1. Calls carry their own dates

Where a source states a deadline or a status, UKIZ shows it with the date it was last checked. A call that has passed its published close is removed from this page rather than left to mislead.

  2. Partner search through official routes

National and international programmes run their own partner search and brokerage services. UKIZ links to those routes rather than pretending to replace them.

  3. Capability, evidenced

Universities, research organisations, companies and facilities appear here on evidenced capability, not on sector labels. Access to a facility is a separate question from its existence, and is shown only where the operator has published it.

  4. Needs and connections stay under consent

Public Needs appear only where the member has chosen discovery, and connection requests run through the existing consent rules. UKIZ does not enable cold approaches.

Common questions

  1. Will UKIZ find me a consortium partner?

UKIZ shows who holds evidenced capability and which official partner search routes are open. Choosing and agreeing partners is yours to do.

  2. Do you check whether I am eligible for a call?

No. Eligibility is decided by the funder and set out in the call documents, which UKIZ links to in full at source.

  3. Why has a call disappeared?

A call that has passed its published close is taken off the page. UKIZ would rather show fewer records than out of date ones.
